Rewarding Career

We can help build your confidence as a foster carer

Surrey is home to many of our foster carers, all at different stages of their fostering journey and all with different motivations for wanting to become a foster carer. The one thing they all have in common is that they have Diagrama right by their side. As a progressive, caring and child-focused agency, we make training and supporting our foster carers in Surrey our priority. That’s because we know that foster carers who have confidence in their own ability to care for children are the ones who are most likely to be able to provide a home where vulnerable children and young people can truly thrive. Unlike some other foster agencies in Surrey, we don’t have the distraction of commercial considerations. We’re a charity devoted to helping vulnerable children and supporting people, wherever they are on their fostering journey.

Wondering why Surrey foster carers choose Diagrama Fostering?

People not profits

At Diagrama, we put children and the support they receive first and any surplus we have is put back into the service, not diverted to shareholders. Our wonderful foster carers are well rewarded for the work they do but our agency is not here to make a profit from foster care.

We’re the experts

Our role is simply to provide 24/7, 365-day support to our incredible foster carers in Surrey – and we’ve been doing it for years. This includes 1-2-1 support, peer networking with other foster carers and ongoing specialist training to help you manage any specific issues.

Always on hand

Diagrama is a large charitable organisation covering the whole of the south east of England. We’re big enough to cope but small enough to care and it's a matter of professional pride for us that our foster carers never struggle to instantly get any support they need.

‘Diagrama understood what was important right from the start’

Diagrama foster carers, Peter and Kristin Nevins, share their home with four biological children and their 11-year-old foster child. The couple, who live in Surrey, chose Diagrama as their fostering agency four years ago. Kristin said: “We chose to foster with the charity Diagrama as from the start they understood how important it was that the foster placement would need to fit in with our four children. We have felt well supported with Diagrama, and when surprises have arisen, they are able to help us to ask the right questions and think through things realistically, considering our whole family.” You can watch Peter and Kristin talk about the support Diagrama has given them here.
